Iraqi-American artist of Armenian descent - grandson of Armenian Genocide survivors who had migrated to Baghdad, Iraq.
Apo immigrated to the United States at the age of fifteen, two years into the Iraq War of 2003. His path with documentary-style videography started at the age of thirteen, at the heart of the Iraq War. His work primarily consists of filmmaking, painting, photography, and writing.
